Brunei, a small country on the island of Borneo, has some of the most stunning mosques in the world, each reflecting the country’s deep Islamic heritage and architectural grandeur.
These masjids not only serve as places of worship but also as symbols of Brunei’s commitment to preserving its cultural and religious traditions, offering visitors a look into the spiritual heart of the nation.
Having a day of “mosque hopping” is a great idea for tourists to see all of this beautiful Islamic architecture. I visited all of these mosques in June 2024 and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
You can access a lot of these masjids (mosques) by using the public bus or by downloading one of the essential apps for Brunei, Dart (it’s like Uber/Grab).
